What does it mean for the U.S. SailGP Team? 🇺🇸
So, the U.S. SailGP Team needs to better ROCKWOOL Racing’s result in this single remaining fleet race – and by at least two points.
The Danes are on 12 points overnight, two ahead of the Crew. If the U.S. SailGP Team finishes level on points with Nicolai Sehested’s team, they would progress to the Final due to having the higher finishing position in the last race.
So, for example, if the U.S. SailGP Team wins Race B4 and takes five points, they’d be on 15 event points. ROCKWOOL therefore could get no more than three points (P3) if Taylor Canfield and co. were to make the Final.

We’re back for Day 2 of the Spain Sail Grand Prix in Valencia – and it all comes down to this.
Two teams from Groups A and B will make today’s Final to battle for maximum points on the Mediterranean.
For the U.S. SailGP Team, sat P3 in Group B, overhauling one of ROCKWOOL Racing or Los Gallos is their route to a second Final this season.

A strong first day in Valencia for Taylor Canfield and the U.S. SailGP Team, dealing with some changeable conditions to go 2-3-3 and finish with 10 points on the board.
It looks to be a three-way fight to advance to Sunday’s Final from Group B with Los Gallos (14) and ROCKWOOL Racing (12) joining the Crew in that fight.
