Winds are a little higher than yesterday, with gusts of up to 32k/mh. High-speed rudders, light air foils and the 27.5m wing are today’s configuration. Crews are five up – Andrew Campbell is off the boat for this one. As a reminder, the Black Foils are still out of action so we’ve got 12 teams lining up.

Welcome back for Day 2 ✌️
Well, it’s all to play for on Day 2 of the ENEL Rio Sail Grand Prix.
The U.S. SailGP Team didn’t finish lower than P5 in an impressive showing on Day 1, leaving them P2 overnight – just one point behind the BONDS Flying Roos.
But everything can change in a race. We’ve got three more today, in slightly windier conditions, so stay tuned!

A fantastic Saturday for The Crew! 🇺🇸
That’s third, fourth, fifth, fifth in the first four races for the U.S. SailGP Team. Those consistent results put us second in the overall fleet race standings with 27 points, just a single point behind leaders the Bonds Flying Roos and in a seriously strong position to aim for tomorrow’s final. What an afternoon of racing in Rio – bring on tomorrow!

It’s an exciting battle for seventh as Mubadala Brazil keeps it super tight with Red Bull Italy, only just giving the Italians enough space at the final mark. What a way to round out the Rolex SailGP Championship’s first day of racing in South America!

Germany Deutsche Bank gets up on the foils and passes Rockwool Denmark for second, then keeps up the momentum to pass the Bonds Flying Roos to take the win at the last second! It’s more bad news for the Aussies as they’re hit with a penalty for fouling Switzerland, dropping them to third behind Denmark.

Red Bull Italy never really had much competition for Race 3, and Rockwool Denmark take second after a quiet start to the weekend. It’s the Bonds Flying Roos and DS Automobiles France after that, but the U.S. SailGP Team comes home in fifth, adding another six points to add to a strong tally so far. Taylor and The Crew really know how to deal with these light conditions!

Great news for the local fans as Mubadala Brazil have solved their telemetry issues and line up for the start of race 3. This time it’s Red Bull Italy with the strongest start, but the U.S. SailGP Team continues its strong weekend and runs fourth.

After what seems like an eternity since victory in Sydney, the U.S. SailGP Team races again today – which makes it a good weekend!
We’ve got 12 teams - DS Automobiles France return - here in Rio for the first-ever edition of the ENEL Rio Sail Grand Prix, bringing the fleet to a brand new continent.
Reminder, the U.S. SailGP Team sits 3rd in the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship after three events. What does Event 4 have in store? Stick with us to find out.
The first-ever Grand Prix in Rio de Janeiro is undoubtedly an exciting moment for the sport – and there can be few more thrilling cities to visit for a SailGP race.
A truly iconic setting will see U.S. SailGP Team battle for points under the looming presence of Christ the Redeemer, sitting atop Corcovado Mountain.
The famous Sugarloaf Mountain also adorns the Rio coastline, of course, and there is no shortage of entertainment inland, with visitors able to sample Brazil’s renowned samba rhythms across the city.
From the Maracanã Stadium to Lapa’s vibrant nightlife and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, this is certainly one of the highlights of the SailGP calendar.
