We’re in Saint-Tropez for the first of three races in four weekends, starting with the ROCKWOOL France Sail Grand Prix.
But what time does the action get underway on the stunning French Riviera? We’ve got all the vital information you need to enjoy a rare Friday-Saturday race weekend from the Côte d’Azur.
HOW TO WATCH SAILGP THIS SEASON
Racing begins at 1.30pm local time (CET) in Saint-Tropez on Friday, September 12 and at 12.30pm on Saturday, September 13. The race window lasts 90 minutes from that point, closing at 3pm CET on Friday and 2pm on Saturday.
Viewers on the West Coast (PDT) are in for an early start to cheer on the U.S. SailGP Team with racing beginning at 4.30am on Friday and 3.30am on Saturday. For those on Mountain Time (MDT), that’s 5.30am on Friday and 4.30am on Saturday.
Anyone tuning in from Hawaii might want to consider just rolling through! Friday’s action commences at 2.30am and Saturday is, therefore, a 1.30am start time. Alaskan fans will need to be ready for 3.30am on Friday and 2.30am on Saturday.
It’s slightly better news for anyone on the East Coast, though. A 7.30am start time on Friday means you might have to work from home to catch the U.S. SailGP Team in action, before a 6.30am wake-up on Saturday.
South American followers of SailGP will enjoy a more leisurely start on both days. The action gets underway from 8.30am on Friday in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay). Therefore, it’s a 7.30am start on Saturday in those cities.
British fans cheering on Dylan Fletcher and co. will want to take their lunch break at 12.30pm on Friday and be in front of a screen for 11.30am on Saturday morning.
In the United Arab Emirates, a 3.30pm start on Friday might mean knocking off early - so get those permission slips in with the boss now! On Saturday, that’s a 2.30pm race start time.
Finally, in Sydney there’ll be no such issue. It’s a 9.30pm start on Friday and 8.30pm on Saturday evening. Fans of Peter Burling’s Black Foils will have a later night - 11.30pm on Friday and 10.30pm on Saturday.
Wherever you’re watching, enjoy this week’s racing and make sure to follow along with the U.S. SailGP Team live blog and across our social channels!
