As one of SailGP’s youngest and most exciting teams, the 2025 Season was a year of considerable growth for Switzerland.
Led by Sebastién Schneiter, the Swiss reached their first-ever event Final and repeated the feat when they hosted a successful first event on Lake Geneva. There is more, surely, to come from this talented crew.

Story of 2025:
Strong showings in Dubai and Auckland - including a P1 in New Zealand – to open the 2025 Season gave an indicator of Switzerland’s enormous potential.
Fifth overall in Sydney after claiming three podiums, Schneiter’s crew were knocking on the door throughout the season.
Switzerland SailGP Team reached its first ever event Final in 2025
In Portsmouth, at the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix, they reached their first-ever Final after going 5-1-2-6-8-3-4 but were DNF after technical issues aboard the F50.
But the Swiss returned to the Final just three events later, going toe-to-toe with Germany SailGP Team presented by Deutsche Bank and the BONDS Flying Roos on home waters in Geneva, finishing in P3.
Off-Season Business:
Switzerland are one of several teams to have avoided making changes in the off-season, with all seven of their athletes returning for the 2026 campaign.
