OFFICIAL: Taylor Canfield Re-Signs With The U.S. SailGP Team For 2026 Season

Driver Taylor Canfield has re-signed with the U.S. SailGP Team on a multi-year contract.

The U.S. SailGP Team confirms that Driver Taylor Canfield has re-signed a multi-year contract starting with the 2026 Season.
Part of SailGP since the league’s inaugural season, Taylor initially served as flight controller. He assumed the driver role in the 2024 season.
Speaking after confirming his return for the new season, Taylor said: “I’m excited to re-join the U.S. SailGP Team with another full American crew. We have the same teammates as the final events of the 2025 season that we began to see real progress with. I’m really looking forward to the fresh start and the 2026 season.”
Taylor is one of the most accomplished sailors in the United States. He has recorded 18 World Championship podium finishes, including nine World Championship titles, across multiple sailing disciplines. In 2025 Taylor won the J70 World Championship and M32 World Championship in a span of two months.
