Get set for a weekend of racing in the spectacular setting of Lake Geneva this September

The U.S. SailGP Team will be heading to Lake Geneva later this year, after the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix was added to the 2026 Schedule.
The Alpine city made its SailGP debut in 2025, with the Crew picking up 21 fleet race points following a pair of P4 finishes.
But they will be looking to build on that showing when racing returns to Geneva for two days of unmissable action, from September 19-20.
Local supporters enjoyed the event last time around, with more than 8,500 ticketed fans watching on as Switzerland reached the Final – only to miss out to eventual winners the Germany SailGP Team, presented by Deutsche Bank.
And SailGP CEO Sir Russell Coutts is anticipating a similarly captivating Grand Prix in 2026:
“Returning to Geneva is a significant moment for SailGP and our fans, as we continue to establish a consistent annual calendar in some of the world’s most iconic destinations,” he explained.
“In 2025, the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix became one of the most attractive outdoor sporting events ever hosted in the city – and the biggest ever held on the lake.”
Coutts continued: “Together with our partner, Rolex, the Rolex SailGP Championship returns
with an expanded fan experience on land, with world-class hospitality for fans, guests and
partners.
“Having an event in Geneva is important to SailGP’s global growth and we look forward
to working with Rolex, the City and the Canton to host another record-setting event.”
Sébastien Schneiter, driver for the Switzerland SailGP Team, echoed those thoughts:
“We are extremely excited to welcome SailGP back to Geneva this season,” he said.
“A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event possible, including our team partners.
“We’re proud to have another opportunity to race in front of our home crowd, and fight for a win this year.
There’s nothing better than the feeling of that home support – it gives us an extra edge.”
