One of two debutants for the 2025 SailGP Season, Mubadala Brazil enjoyed their fair share of memorable moments over the course of the campaign.
Led by the only female driver in the fleet’s history, double Olympic champion Martine Grael, the South American team also has its first-ever home event to look forward to in 2026. A trip to Rio de Janeiro is slated for April 12-13.

Story of 2025:
While finding their feet in a complete 12-strong fleet, Mubadala Brazil picked up a series of decent results before their breakthrough moment in Los Angeles – a P2 in Race 3.
That was the sign of things to come and in New York, the South Americans claimed their first-ever race win, going 9-2-5-1-4-11 to finish in P4 overall.
Mubadala Brazil claimed two race wins last season – and will be hoping for further progress in 2026
Damage suffered during practice in Sassnitz tempered their progress somewhat, ruling Martine Grael’s crew out of the entire event, before a P8 in Saint-Tropez.
A strong finish to their maiden campaign saw Mubadala Brazil claim another race win in Cádiz. A sign of things to come in year two.
Off-Season Business:
Three-time America’s Cup winner Andy Maloney has traded Mubadala Brazil for another new team in the fleet, Artemis SailGP Team, after a single season on the team.
Mubadala Brazil did not wait around to recruit his replacement as wing trimmer, snapping up Rasmus Køstner who had previously been with ROCKWOOL Denmark for every SailGP event until the 2025 Grand Final.
