Sustained Futures, in partnership with the U.S. SailGP Team, is proud to announce the launch of Climate Action Academy, a brand new educational initiative designed to empower young people with the tools, knowledge, and inspiration to become leaders in Ocean and Climate advocacy.
Through a dynamic series of sessions led by athletes, scientists, indigenous leaders, engineers, and sustainability innovators, Climate Action Academy invites youth to explore the powerful intersection of ocean health, climate change, and cutting-edge technology.
The program will roll out over six sessions kicking off on the 18th of June, featuring keynote conversations, interactive workshops, and real-world challenges that equip participants to take action in their communities.

Session topics include:

The Ocean-Climate Nexus – with SailGP athletes and marine scientists
Extreme Weather & Sport – climate data meets real-world racing
Circular Living – sustainable fashion and nutrition with leading ocean impact businesses
Tech & Finance for the Oceans – The use of AI, remote sensing, and business model innovation featuring Beatbot, Apex, and more
Community Action – indigenous knowledge and youth-led activism
Wrap-Up & Next Steps – storytelling, recognition, and future leadership networks
Speakers include athletes from the U.S. SailGP Team, NOAA scientists, sustainability engineers, and corporate partners such as Apex and Beatbot.
Climate Action Academy is designed as a virtual experience, leveraging a remote model to ensure global digital access. Youth participants will be invited to pledge climate actions, engage in advocacy storytelling, and join the Climate Crew — an ongoing community of ocean advocates.
