The European leg of the SailGP season continues apace this weekend, as the fleet heads to Switzerland for the first time ever.
We’re in Geneva for the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix which takes place at 3.30pm CEST on both Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21.
If you aren’t able to be in Geneva for this weekend’s event, you can watch globally and all the information you need is below.
HOW TO WATCH SAILGP THIS WEEKEND
Fans of the U.S. SailGP Team following from the West Coast (PDT) will need to be awake for 6.30am. It’s an hour later for those on Mountain Time (MDT) at 7.30am and another hour forward for anyone tuning in from a Central Time zone (CDT), at 8.30am.
Fans on the East Coast can enjoy a leisurely start on Saturday and Sunday, with action underway at 9.30am. There’s no such luck for anyone in Hawaii (3.30am) or Alaska (5.30am), however.
Fans of the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team will get to watch Martine Grael and her crew from 10.30am in Rio de Janeiro. It’s the same for any SailGP fans in Buenos Aires (Argentina) or Montevideo (Uruguay).
Moving across the Atlantic Ocean, fans of Emirates GBR will get to see if their team can make a fourth straight podium from 2.30pm. It’s an hour later in the day across the CEST time zone, encompassing France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
It won’t be long until we’re in Abu Dhabi for the Grand Final and fans based in the UAE can tune in from 5.30pm.
In Beijing, China, it’ll be 9.30pm by the time racing begins on both days. In the Southern Hemisphere, fans in Sydney (Australia) are set for a late start – 11.30pm.
Depending on how you look at it, It’s an early (or late!) start for Auckland, with supporters of Peter Burling’s Black Foils needing to be up for 1.30am to follow their team’s Championship push.
