The United Kingdom is in the midst of a heat wave as we build up to this weekend’s Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix – and the weather should remain warm and dry.
Saturday’s racing is expected to be warm and cloudy, reaching 74f (23c) with a three percent chance of precipitation – welcome news for anyone who braved the rain in New York City last month.
A south-westerly wind of 8 mph is expected, gusting 16 mph.
On Sunday, conditions are expected to improve slightly. Temperatures are expected to be around 76f (24c) though there is an increased probability of rain at 16 percent.
With that comes stronger wind - news to the ears of SailGP fans - with a West South-Westerley wind of 10 mph that could be gusting up to 25 mph.
