Published 02/11/2026
It’s back to the southern hemisphere for the second leg of the 2026 Season for this weekend’s ITM Auckland Sail Grand Prix.
Racing takes place on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15 on the Waitematā Harbour, with racing on both days beginning at 4pm NZDT.
HOW TO WATCH SAILGP THIS WEEKEND
There’s good news for SailGP fans planning to attend or watch, with a south-westerly wind of 37km/hr gusting 56km/hr forecast for Saturday afternoon – which should mean plenty of high-speed foiling action.
The weather will be 23°c and cloudy, with a 14% chance of precipitation. The humidity will be 58%.
Sunday could bring even more excitement with the wind set to increase. A SSW wind of 41km/hr gusting up to 61km/hr will likely mean the smallest 18m wings will be in use for the fleet.
The sun will make a welcome appearance with temperatures of around 23°c once more and no rain forecast. The humidity will drop a little to 48%.
Make sure you follow all the action via the U.S. SailGP Team App and social media channels!
