U.S. SailGP Team Appoints Pete Gunovsky as Commercial Director

U.S. SailGP Team bolsters leadership with appointment of experienced Commercial Director from Oracle Red Bull Racing

NEW YORK (July 14, 2026) — The U.S. SailGP Team today announced the appointment of Pete Gunovsky as Commercial Director.

Reporting to Team Principal, CEO and Co-Owner Mike Buckley, Gunovsky will lead the team's global commercial function, overseeing commercial development, revenue growth, and international expansion.

Gunovsky joins the U.S. SailGP Team from Oracle Red Bull Racing, one of the premier properties in the global sports ecosystem, where he served as Head of Commercial for three years. In this role, Pete executed agreements with some of the team’s most prominent commercial partners including Carlyle, Gate.io, and DAMAC, amongst others. Previously, Gunovsky spent five years at Chelsea Football Club in dual role across marketing and commercial.
