Story of 2025:
With SailGP constructing two new F50s after Mubadala Brazil and Red Bull Italy joined the fleet at the start of the 2025 Season, France sat out the first event and were awarded compensatory points as a result.

That left a vacant seat on the French F50, taken up by Brit Leigh McMillan who was previously part of Les Bleus in Season 2. McMillan has also been on the Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team previously, and boasts Olympic Games and America’s Cup experience.
