Day 1 of the ITM Auckland Sail Grand Prix ended prematurely after a collision between the New Zealand Black Foils and DS Automobiles France resulted in damage to both teams’ F50s.
The pair had been in contention for Super Sunday’s Final, sitting 1st and 2nd in the fleet race standings before a dramatic accident at the start of Race 3. All athletes were accounted for, with two taken to hospital to treat injuries.
