Remember, if you’re not in Germany but want to watch along, here’s everything you need to know about how to watch SailGP in 2025.
Racing begins at 3.30pm local time (CET) in Sassnitz on Saturday, August 16 and Sunday, August 17, with the race window open until 5pm. The same will go for anyone watching in France, Switzerland, Italy or mainland Spain.
This means U.S. viewers on the West Coast (PDT) are in for an early start to catch Taylor Canfield and the team, with racing underway at 6.30am. That’s an hour behind the U.S. SailGP Team fans who are on Mountain Time (7.30am) while anyone in Hawaii will need to be up at 3.30am to catch the event. That will mean it’s 5.30am in Alaska.
On the East Coast (EST) it’s a much more relaxed start to the day, with racing due to commence at 9.30am.
For South American fans, a helping of SailGP action will arrive mid-morning with a 10.30am start time in Brasilia (Brazil), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Montevideo (Uruguay).
Heading to Europe, British fans looking to see if Dylan Fletcher and his crew can build on an impressive showing on home waters can begin their viewing from 2.30pm BST.
Viewers in the United Arab Emirates can round off their afternoon by cheering on their favourite teams from 5.30pm. Meanwhile, it’s a late night in Sydney, Australia (11.30pm) and an early morning in Auckland, New Zealand (1.30am)!
