The SailGP fleet will grow to 13 international teams for the first time in 2026 with Artemis SailGP Team joining the Rolex SailGP Championship.
Artemis Racing, Sweden’s internationally acclaimed sailing team, confirmed its return ahead of the Switzerland Sail Grand Prix in September and has been preparing ever since.
Returning to the SailGP fleet is Nathan Outteridge who has previously driven for Japan in Seasons 1 and 2 and filled in for several other teams.
Led by CEO and Olympic gold medallist Iain Percy, and backed by Torbjörn Törnqvist, Artemis will bring Sweden’s rich sailing heritage and competitive spirit to SailGP.

Off-Season Business:
Unsurprisingly given they are starting from scratch, Artemis has been busy recruiting athletes throughout the off season and caused several major splashes as part of the new Athlete Transfer Framework.
Olympic gold medallist Outteridge, who has also driven for Switzerland and New Zealand, brings no little experience to the cockpit and was the first addition to a star-studded line-up.
Artemis will be targeting a strong debut season in SailGP during 2026
Outteridge recruited former Japan team-mates Chris Draper (BONDS Flying Roos) and Andy Maloney (Mubadala Brazil) to fill the roles of wing trimmer and flight controller in cockpit two.
Stockholm native Julia Gross joins from Red Bull Italy as strategist, while Julius Hallström is another Swede returning home after making the switch from ROCKWOOL Denmark. Brad Farrand arrives from Red Bull Italy as a jib trimmer.
High-performance sailing duo Hugo Christensson and Felicia Fernström have also signed up as reserve athletes, having progressed through Artemis’ established talent pathway.
