What will the weather be like in Halifax, Nova Scotia, for this weekend’s SailGP event?

The SailGP fleet rolls into Halifax for this weekend’s Canada Sail Grand Prix north of the border.
Racing takes place at 4pm local time (ADT) on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21. Click here to find out what time the race window is locally.
Saturday is expected to be warm and windy in Halifax Harbor with temperatures reaching 70f.Â
A 15mph west southwesterly wind could gust up to 30mph meaning there should be plenty of foiling action. There is a 25% chance of precipitation and 65% humidity.
Sunday looks less inviting at the time of writing, with temperatures of 64f and broken intervals with showers forecast. Two-and-a-half hours of precipitation are expected with a 15% probability of thunderstorms.
There’s better news on the wind front, however, with a west southwesterly wind of 10mph gusting up to 29mph.
