06/21/2026

Finalists as it stands... 🏆
It’ll be the BONDS Flying Roos and Los Gallos as things stand with two legs to go. The Black Foils need to finish ahead of Spain here by at least two places or their Final hopes will be dashed.
06/21/2026
Through the final gate 😬
Aussies still leading as they turn left with CAN, NZL and ESP. DEN goes right…
06/21/2026
BIG move from NZL! 🇳🇿
By finishing ahead of Spain in this final fleet race, the Kiwis would qualify for the Final. What a return to action that would be!

06/21/2026
Big statement from the Crew 🇺🇸

Welcome back for Day ✌️
So, what does Day 2 in Halifax have in store for us?
Day 1 was unpredictable and chaotic and we’re expecting more of the same on the East Coast of Canada.
Stick with us for coverage every step of the way.
06/20/2026
Day 1 wrap 🗞️
What a day for the BONDS Flying Roos. They would have felt a sense of injustice at having their points in Race 1A (the first one!) taken from them but they hit back like the team they are, picking up a 10/10 points from the next two races.
How about the Black Foils? Back in the start box and back among the points with a P3 and a P2 to their name. Pete Burling will be delighted - a great way to kickstart the MSP Capital era.
For the U.S. SailGP Team, a brilliant start to Race 1 did not yield the result it ought to have and we go P5, P6 on Day 1 with work to do to make the four-team final on Super Sunday.
Stick with us for all the reaction.
06/20/2026
Big chance for GBR 👀
The Brits are fouling, Sweden have just popped up to H1…
Swedes hold on, just! Five points for Artemis. Followed by GBR!

06/20/2026
We're off – AGAIN! 🚥
Everyone looks early but the Black Foils get their noses out in front at the line!
06/20/2026
We're going to have a re-do 🔁
So, Race 1A is struck out and we’re going to try again. It’ll be four up - two tethered behind the wheel - and a shorter course. Let’s see if this one counts for something!
06/20/2026
No points from Race 1 ❌
Australia didn’t make it across in time, so no points are handed out. Group A will re-do Race 1.
06/20/2026
Did the Aussies time it to perfection?! 🤏
The BONDS Flying Roos looked to have crossed the line before the race timed out to take the win. We await confirmation.
06/20/2026
Aussies go H1 ⬆️
The Roos have find a patch of wind here and they’re up to 27kph, 28 is the magic number to get foiling. 30 secs left or it’s race over…
06/20/2026
Race cut short ✂️
This race has been reduced in length as the F50s struggle to make Gate 3. It’ll end at this windward gate and head back to the final mark and the finish. Aussies still well in control.

Good afternoon 👋
It’s Race Day once more! We’re in beautiful Halifax, NS, for the Canada Sail Grand Prix, ready to bring you everything that happens on Day 1.
Already we’ve had news today: we’ll see a split fleet race format, with the U.S. SailGP Team placed in Group B alongside Emirates GBR, Artemis, Germany SailGP Team presented by Deutsche Bank, Red Bull Italy, Explora Swiss.
When SailGP heads to Halifax, it arrives in one of North America’s most storied maritime hubs.
Perched on the edge of the Atlantic, Halifax has a deep-rooted connection to the sea, with generations of sailors navigating its expansive natural harbor and the surrounding waters of Nova Scotia.
The racing unfolds on the dramatic stage of Halifax Harbour, where shifting Atlantic conditions can test even the most experienced crews. For fans, the combination of rugged coastal scenery, rich naval heritage, and a welcoming waterfront atmosphere makes Halifax a standout destination as SailGP’s global tour continues across the Atlantic.
