The Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix is fast approaching and there’s plenty going on throughout the SailGP fleet.
Welcome to the first instalment of ‘What You Missed In SailGP This Week’, your one-stop shop for all the news across the league between race weeks.
Further Details For Portsmouth Confirmed 🇬🇧
We’re heading to a brand-new venue for the Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix, with the historic naval town of Portsmouth hosting as SailGP returns to Britain for the first time since Season Three.
The SailGP Race Stadium will be open to fans from 2pm-7pm BST on Saturday and Sunday, with racing scheduled for 4pm-5.30pm BST on both days. As always, there’ll be the chance to purchase food and drink, official SailGP merchandise and enjoy live experiences and post-racing entertainment.

As for the racing, course details have been confirmed this week. The racecourse will be in Portsmouth harbour, with grandstands positioned on Castle Field’s waterfront on Southsea Common.

Uncharted SailGP Docuseries Goes Global! 🎬
Fans of SailGP can now watch the exclusive three-part docuseries Uncharted across the globe.
Told through the lens of the former U.S. SailGP Team driver and SailGP legend Jimmy Spithill, the documentary goes behind the scenes to tell the story of our sport’s meteoric rise.
Uncharted is already available on Paramount+ in the US but it is now available in a number of other territories, too: Globo - SporTV (Brazil), TSN (Canada), Canal+ (France), Paramount+ (U.S.), TNT Sports 1 (UK) and Eurosport (Pan Europe).
For countries without a broadcaster, Uncharted will be available on SailGP’s YouTube channel from July 9. Viewers in Australia can watch on Fox Sports from July 8.
U.S. SailGP Team Test SailGP Knowledge 👀
Round 2 of our exciting fantasy game Race Vision tested players’ knowledge of the history of our sport with 10 questions charting its first five seasons.
The results are in and the leaderboard’s updated - check out how you did!
We also got the U.S. SailGP Team athletes to take part and you can see how they performed above. Anything less than a 100% score is surely worthy of a forfeit, right?!
