The U.S. SailGP Team is proud to announce a 5th-place finish in the Impact League for the 2025 Season – a rise of five places.
The Impact League tracks and celebrates teams’ positive actions on and off the water, celebrating social and environmental impact alongside sporting performance.
Throughout the season, the U.S. SailGP Team ran initiatives for each of SailGP’s four Focus Area challenges: Race to Zero Waste, Accelerating Inclusion, Climate Action and Breaking Boundaries.
The U.S. SailGP Team finished 5th in Focus Area #4, Breaking Boundaries, following the #LiftHerUpChallenge, celebrating female strength to help break barriers for the next generation of women in sport.
Anyone registering was entered into a draw for the chance to win a training session with Olympian and U.S. SailGP Team grinder Anna Weis, while every sign up helped us provide gear for the next generation of female sailors.

The U.S. SailGP Team finished 3rd in Focus Area #2, Accelerating Inclusion, carried out with our Purpose Partner, RISE, a nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations.
Throughout the season, U.S. SailGP Team athletes and staff have participated in leadership workshops to upskill as leaders and activated at each race in the United States to the benefit of local communities.

On top of this, the U.S. SailGP Team provided dozens of underserved youth in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York with bespoke, introductory sailing lessons with U.S. SailGP Team athletes, in addition to ongoing learning, development and upskilling through the team’s partnership with the RISE Foundation.
U.S. SailGP Team CEO, Co-owner and strategist Mike Buckley said: “Winning off the water matters for our team and for the future of the sport.
“When I’m meeting with business leaders, partners or the wider sports community, the conversation quickly turns to impact - how we support people, how we engage locally and how we use our platform in a meaningful way. I’m proud to point to the work we’re doing through the Impact League and the initiatives we’re driving beyond it.

“SailGP is ‘Powered by Nature,’ and that comes with a responsibility to protect the waters we race on. Taking part in the Climate Action Academy with Sustained Futures was a real highlight this season and underscored how important this commitment is.
These efforts are every bit as important as our on-water performance, and together they put us - and the sport - in a strong position for the future.”
