1. U.S. SailGP Team Board member DJ Khaled pulls up!
GRAMMY award-winning artist and U.S. SailGP Team Board member DJ Khaled is a big SailGP fan – so it was only right he pulled up in NYC to see his team in action.
It was a whistle-stop tour for Khaled who somehow managed to fit in riding in an F50, visiting the almost 10,000 fans who turned out despite the bad weather and stopping by to catch up with the U.S. SailGP Team CEO, Co-owner and strategist Mike Buckley.
All together now: LET’S GO SAILING!
2. Michael Menninger links up with U.S. SailGP Team
Signed to the roster in April, the newest member of the U.S. SailGP Team, Michael Menninger, joined his new team-mates for the first time in New York City.
Menninger utilized the week with the crew getting acclimated to his new team-mates before spending Saturday and Sunday in the coach’s booth with head coach Evan Aras, lending his expertise.
Stay tuned to hear from Menninger for the first time in the coming weeks.

3. Packed week for U.S. SailGP Team
With the team HQ in New York and the Grand Prix bringing a US triple header to a close, it was a huge week for the U.S. SailGP Team.
Highlights included the U.S. SailGP Team launch party, held at the Flyfish club - owned by Board member Gary Vaynerchuk - on Thursday night. There were also TV appearances for Mike, Hans Henken and Peter Kinney on Good Day New York.
Mike and Anna Weis were guests of the New York Red Bulls for their win over Atlanta United, while also taking in the New York Mets’ match-up with the Colorado Rockies.
For Anna, there was the opportunity to speak at an Apex Women's Accelerator Event, while the whole team took part in our latest leadership workshop, facilitated by RISE.

4. VIP Sweeps Winners have a blast!
Our lucky VIP Sweeps winner, Gillian, was joined by friend Jacques - both keen sailors - at the New York Sail Grand Prix throughout the week.
The pair won flights, transfers and accommodation in the Big Apple before the real fun began. They joined the team at the tech base in Jersey City, meeting the athletes and getting a guided tour of the F50, too.
On Saturday, Gillian and Jacques were stationed on the Arabella luxury yacht to witness the action up close. For Super Sunday, it was over to Governors Island for Adrenaline Lounge access – enjoying the best hospitality on offer and the unsurpassed views of the boats as they whizzed by at 60mph!
The weekend was completed by attending the exclusive U.S. SailGP Team and signed team merch.

5. The great and the good turn out at the New York Sail Grand Prix!
There was no shortage of famous faces in attendance for the biggest sporting event of the weekend – headlined, inevitably, by U.S. SailGP Team Board member DJ Khaled.
Heidi Montag, star of The Hills, was joined by her husband Spencer Pratt on the Arabella on Saturday, along with TikTok sensation Cambpell ‘Pookie’ Puckett and husband Jett Puckett.
Former New York Red Bulls star striker Bradley Wright-Phillips - the franchise’s all-time leading scorer - was another taking in the action from the Hudson.
At the Adrenaline Lounge, QB1 star turned Washington Commander Sam Hartman was joined by Red Bull diver Ellie Smart, among others.
And there’s plenty more to come!
We’ll have the Buckley Debrief for you as Mike discusses the week in New York and takes follower’s questions.
There’ll be a full-length episode of Full Sail going behind the scenes for a week in the life of Mike, as well as plenty of content from the rest of the athletes as attention turns to the UK Grand Prix in Portsmouth on July 19-20.
