Better news for foiling in Abu Dhabi today: There's more wind and the teams have been foiling in warm-ups!
Teams will be using light-wind rudders and T-Foils, the 27.5m wing and large jib. It's a four-up configuration on board.

With the lack of wind, teams will want to maximize board drops to generate power. But they will be penalized for too many drops and we have seen it already today.

The U.S. SailGP Team will have fond memories of recent visits to the Middle East, having finished on the podium in the 2025 SailGP Season opener in Dubai.
Prior to that success, they claimed a P3 in Abu Dhabi during the 2024 SailGP Season.
A trip to the desert brings the curtain down on the 2025 Season with the Grand Final following six fleet races to crown the 2025 SailGP Champions. Only one team can clinch that $2million prize. Glory awaits!
