SailGP swaps the Baltic for the Mediterranean this week, as the fleet arrives in Valencia for the tenth event of the season - and the first-ever Spain Sail Grand Prix to be sailed outside Cádiz.
Australia's Bonds Flying Roos left Sassnitz with their championship lead intact, but Los Gallos maintained their strong form to secure another podium heading into their home weekend.

When is the Spain Sail Grand Prix?
The Spain Sail Grand Prix takes place on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6. Racing will begin at 1:30pm local time on both days. To find out what time that is in your region, click here.
What will the weather be like for the Spain Sail Grand Prix?
Conditions in Valencia are shaping up warm and dry across the weekend, with temperatures in the high-80s Fahrenheit both days and scattered cloud rather than clear skies. Wind looks moderate rather than gusty - out of the east on Saturday, shifting southeast on Sunday.

Who will be racing at the Spain Sail Grand Prix?
All 13 boats return to the start line for SailGP's Valencia debut, racing in the marina built for the 2007 America's Cup. Split fleet racing remains in place, with Groups A and B again decided by recent form.
Group A: BONDS Flying Roos, Black Foils, Artemis, Emirates GBR, Red Bull Italy, Explora Swiss and Mubadala Brazil.
Group B: NorthStar, Los Gallos, U.S. SailGP Team, DS Automobiles Team France, ROCKWOOL Denmark and Germany SailGP Team.
How does a SailGP Event work?
The split fleet takes part in five fleet races across Saturday (3) and Sunday (2). Points are awarded based on position with five points going to each race winner, all the way to 1 point for 5th. Anyone placed 6th or lower gets zero points.
After 10 races across the two fleets, the four teams with the most points contest a winner-takes-all Final.
Event points are then distributed based on the same criteria, with the event winner adding 10 to their seasonal tally, P2 taking 9 points, P3 taking 8 points and so on.
What happened at the Germany Sail Grand Prix?
Bonds Flying Roos claimed their fifth win of the season in Sassnitz, seeing off NorthStar and Los Gallos in the winner-takes-all Final to extend their championship lead to 14 points.
Los Gallos couldn't complete a hat-trick of wins after Halifax and Portsmouth, but a dramatic recovery from the back of the fleet secured their Final berth and a podium finish - keeping them second overall and arriving into their home race full of confidence.
For the U.S. SailGP Team, it was a tricky two days on the water that saw the Crew finish 11th overall.
2026 Rolex SailGP Championship Standings
The Bonds Flying Roos (76pts) remain top of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship, with Los Gallos (62pts) 14 points back in second heading into their home event.
Artemis (53pts) sit third, while Emirates GBR (46pts) and the U.S. SailGP Team (46pts) are locked together on points in fourth and fifth respectively.
